Looks like he fell 100+ feet, hit with the "slap" and died before the camera follows him. I've never been to Hoover dam, but it looks close to vertical on the top section in the video. The "head exploded" comment comes before he hits bottom, so maybe his head exploded twice!
I don't get suicide jumpers. I am afraid of heights. Give me a gun, overdose, run into a truck ala Krazy Kraut. But don't make me jump of the golden gate bridge or a dam.

wow this video is really amazing for the following reasons...

It shows the guy before jumping.

It doesnt show the initial impact:

But he does get pretty DAM close to it

The cameraman tracks him the entire slide

Doesnt keep panning after the guy stops sliding, so a clear view of wall impact

Cameraman isnt shaky or screaming and yelling

Funny commentary by buddy "His head just fucking exploded, John!"

His head really did explode


We really need more videos like this

The guy certainly had balls to pull a stunt like that, he'll be immortalized for sure.

I think he died or at least was knocked out upon impact with the dam wall. Sure was some ragdoll action! The shot of his cap at the end was very poignant.
