Re: Hoover Dam Suicide
I really don't understand how you guys think this suicide is a "fail". Yeah it does have sort of a slide but if you've ever seen how truly big the Hoover Dam is, that first first jump would have killed him instantly and as he slid down the concrete would rip the skin right off his bones. Every little flip would break more bones. This is by far one of the coolest suicides I've ever seen. Great place to end your life. You people just don't understand as a video can't capture the true height of Hoover Dam.

Re: Hoover Dam Suicide
I'd say he was pretty well concussed from the sliding and rolling, but had there been a bunch of soft pillows at the bottom he would have survived. Seems the soft pillow company didn't know this guy was jumping today, so I'd say it was the slamming into the concrete wall at about 100 mph and his scalp getting blown off was about the point of actual death. They could make that the tourist attraction motto: "Don't give a damn? Hoover Dam!" |

Re: Hoover Dam Suicide
I was watching a documentary on people who jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge in an effort to kill themselves but failed. They all said the same thought went through their heads just as they jumped: "Why'd I do that?" I bet this guy was having regrets the moment he jumped. Wonder if anyone in the tour group filmed him as well?
