Very common misconception. It's not uncommon for a broken neck, or other parts of the spine, to leave the spinal cord undamaged with no paralyzing effects

Hmm, not necessarily. I think Hong Kong may be different than mainland China regarding automatic death sentences for killing someone. But after the protests, the mainland rules might taken over.

It is the difference between acting out of determination or pure emotion. An emotional response will cease after a more intense emotion interferes with it. |

I think he broke his neck. You can see how they jerk very suddenly and it’s all over for him. My uncle broke his neck. Walked about for two days before seeking help. So it’s very possible to do it and not lose use of your arms and legs.
