But all of the specimens look to be in advanced states of decomp. And they are not exactly immersed in the formalin, only bits of them. Surely they could find some fresh ones to preserve for training? Or maybe it was specifically for looking at decomp? |

Actually they are left to rot. They're all dead people nobody ever claimed. Stuck in boxes filled or half filled with formalin. All in advanced stages of decay. Probably cause nobody really cared about proper preservation of a dead body. They're mostly used for students to learn on them. But they're not bodies donated to science, they're literally abandoned, or unknown people. By the time students can have them, they're already rotten. |

Can you imagine what it smelled like in there? I don't think there is any amount of Fabreeze that could lighten that room up.
