EDIT: Fuck me, repost. My apologies. I'll look better next time before posting. Feel free to close. Sorry. This, my friends, is some pretty horrific footage. This accident occurred in Beirut in June of this year. Two young men were showing off their diving skills (or lack of) to passersby on the seaside promenade of Beirut called the "Manara" which is located across the street from the American University of Beirut. One of the spectators watching the two divers filmed the accident in it's entirety on their camera phone. This is the reason why the film is somewhat grainy. Anyway, as you see in the video one diver jumps a few feet too short and smacks his face right on the concrete, breaking the front of his skull in half and ripping his face apart. A couple people standing nearby jump in the water and pull him out. The next portion of the video shows the victim in the hospital gasping for air while a doctor holds his head together.  |
