There is only a few area's that can crush your hand and arm in a printing press. Mostly in the plate and blanket area's. You would be pulled in almost completely in those area's in all but the smallest presses. He was caught IMO in the inking rollers of the press. What happens there is you are compressed and degloved from the constant stripping action of the rollers. I was a maintenance supervisor in a printing plant and had to dig a few guys out from this hazard in the 1980's. One guy looked almost as bad as that having his right hand completely degloved. YUCK

as a construction worker I can totally sympathize with that guy. Can't remember all the times someone got hurt at work. Last year a guy got his foot crushed off. Comes to work a couple months later and just stands around with his fake foot. . Don't even know what they are paying him for.
