As an earlier poster speculated, perhaps the burning bike belonged to one of the perps, and they were caught trying to steal a second bike.

I've decided that if someone (or a mob in this case) were to set me on fire, I would chase after them and do everything I could to make sure they get a little burned too. Many of the folks I've seen initially get up and run anyway, so why not try and get a little payback for the hell they're putting me through.  |
