As a biker I'm well aware of the dangers people in cars pose for people on motorcycles. But in my entire life I have never seen this kind of downright foolish level of riding.... |

Using stop action, it is clear that he was beyond the train at the time of impact. Technically, he did beat the train. Even the rear wheel of his scooter was passing over the second rail. Thus the train did not strike the rider, but rather hit the rear of his scooter. Of course the result was to send both scooter and rider flying. Still, it would look to be survivable unless he had the bad luck of landing head first on something hard.
