The guy is in shock, in medical terms, shock is the body’s response to a sudden drop in blood pressure. At first, the body responds to this life-threatening situation by constricting blood vessels in the extremities (hands and feet). This is called vasoconstriction and it helps conserve blood flow to the vital organs. In English, all his blood vessels in his outer extremities are very tight so there's not a whole lot of blood flow, his area of concern is his outer extremity, therefore, not a whole lot of blood flowing out of the wound. |
