Colombia. On the afternoon of Wednesday, July 9, a teenager, Liam.D.M.P. jumped to his death from the top of the César Gaviria Trujillo Bridge, a structure known for its history of similar incidents.

The scene was witnessed by several citizens passing by, some of whom recorded with their cell phones the exact moment when the teenager, without saying a word, threw himself from the structure.

The emergency was reported around 2:10 p.m., when pedestrians and drivers crossing the bridge noticed the presence of a male on the edge of the structure.

Several witnesses tried to immediately notify the authorities, but everything happened in a matter of seconds. The guy jumped from one of the highest areas of the viaduct, landing directly below, on the area known as San Judas, in a field adjacent to the Otún River.

The bridge has a total length of 440 metres, including a central span of 211 metres. There are four traffic lanes and two sidewalks, giving a total width of 26 metres.

There are two towers (Concrete material) that have a height of 56 metres above the deck (Steel structure), which in turn has a maximum height of 55 metres above the Otún River.
