Guy Gets Murdered in the Street After Complaint Over Water Leak in Apartment

A resident shot and killed the assistant manager of a condominium in the North of Rio de Janeiro, in the early hours of Wednesday (26).

The motive was an argument over awater leak in the shooter's apartment. Neighbors filmed the crime, committed in the parking lot and street.

The disagreement began in the hallway of one of the condominium buildings. José R. C. de Q, after receiving a complaint about a water leak in his unit, appears shirtless in the parking lot, walking and pointing a gun at Vinícius d. S. A, who tries to flee despite being injured.

While saying a few words, José fires two shots at Vinícius, who, after walking a few steps around a parked car, falls down injured. At this moment, the gun appears to jam or was out of ammunition, which makes him hit the victim with kicks and blows with the butt of his gun.

A resident runs to help Vinícius and pushes José. Amidst desperate screams from neighbors, the shooter leaves the condominium walking calmly, while other people try to help Vinícius, who was taken to the Municipal Hospital, but did not survive.

Police said that residents managed to catch José and restrained him until the arrival of military police officers. As he tried to resist arrest, he ended up being injured and taken, under the custody of the PM, also to the Hospital.

José will be taken to the police station as soon as he is released for the custody hearing. The weapon used in the crime was seized.
