That’s definitely not him. TMZ showed clips of him before the accident and he wasn’t wearing that. The family said they’ll never release the footage.

He should have realized that since he was so close to the ground, that he should have been more cautious about giving up trying to regain control sooner. I ratchet that up to inexperience imho.

I don't have the expertise to verify that your opinions are correct, but intuitively, I suspect that you are correct.

Also, I imagine that it would be difficult to remain calm and well reasoned in the immediacy of such a life or death situation.

Certainly, I wouldn't have been able to maintain logical stability if I had been seconds away from Death with the ground rushing up at me at about 100 mph.
