I don't know who is more of a dumdum. The squisher or the squishy. Electric forklifts can be extremely quiet, but still rattle and whirr. Was he wearing headphones?

I was trained in operating a forklift for a summer job and in the US, we are trained to move loads in reverse so you can see where you are going. Doing what that driver did would have been immediate dismissal at the place I worked. |

~ The victim passed right by the forklift driver, & should have made his presence known, just by some friendly gesture, but instead he chose to just get in the way. And he works there, so that is baaa'd work environment awareness....  ~ In that kind of eminent dangerous work environment, I always make sure anyone around/working is aware of my presence, by honking/beeping when mobile, for my safety & theirs. |

I am amazed at the total lack of situational awareness on both their parts. The guy walking just passed by the forklift operator - they possibly exchanged pleasantries as well - "Yo Wang, wazzup?" "Aww you know it Tang, same shit, different day. See you inside." "Last one there is a free-market capitalist!"
