Colombo, Sri Lanka ~ A man has died after getting electrocuted while climbing on an electrical transformer in the Mirihana area. The deceased was identified as a 53 year old man. He climbed an electric transformer pole near the road leading to the President's residence in Mirihana, demanding to stop power cuts and got electrocuted, according to local media reports. It was reported that this person was drunk at the time, and he succumbed to his injuries when he was admitted to the Kalubowila Hospital. Police are currently conducting investigations into the incident. |
