Guy Assaults Female Employee, Holding Her Hostage, Gets Shot & Killed by a Cop

A Brazilian man (33), was shot dead by the MP after invading a store, assaulting a woman and holding her hostage.

It happened around 7 pm, when the store had just closed. Employees of the commercial establishment were still inside the place and called the police because the man would be throwing stones and glass bottles against the building.

Before the police arrived, the man managed to enter the store and, armed with a broken glass bottle, chased the employees.

He managed to reach one of them, subdue her and assaults her. At that moment, the police arrived and demanded that he moves away so that she could be rescued. He then held the woman hostage.

The negotiation lasted for 10 minutes and when the man tried to attack the woman again, the police shot him with and he died at the scene.

The woman was admitted to the Hospital suffering injuries to her neck, back and side. Her health condition is stable.

According to investigators, the man would have ended a relationship with a former employee of the store, which would have motivated the crime.

He was after her, but she had resigned a few days before, as she was aware of the risky situation. We had asked for a protective measure in her favor, against him, and the request was accepted by the Justice department. There was even an arrest warrant.
