Stabbed in the heart or it cut his major artery near his heart. He needed immediate treatment to survive that and even then it would have been questionable..

There's no amount of help that would have saved him. Even if emergency services were literally right there when it happened, they can't stop the heart from bleeding internally. Dude was dead the second the knife went in.
