You idiot, they sell safes...and the majority of the guns you're talking about are stolen from vehicles because there are places that even law-abiding citizens cannot take their weapons into so they are forced to leave them in their vehicles. And this has absolutely nothing to do with the USA so I don't even know why you brought it up.

Re: Groom’s Dad Accidentally Shot Dead During Weapons Test Firing
Ah, the gun debate. The U.S. always is the main topic of gun control because it's got the most concerning rates of death, compared to other first world societies. 2nd amendment supporters say we should fear enemies (I can tell you right now, that .22 you keep in your nightstand won't protect your family from Isis when they come knocking, like implied) and that owning a gun will keep you safe from someone ELSE with a gun. Those who do NOT support guns argue that the stolen guns used to murder would not be in circulation if there were laws prohibiting civilian gun ownership. (And whoever leaves a gun in a car, which can be stolen or broken into, is an irresponsible fuckwit) The "libtards" you so eloquently abhor, are trying to protect the countless kids that have been shot. Whether they shoot friends/family or themselves, when children find guns, tragedies happen. Even if the kids happen to come from YOUR fuck stick, we still give a shit. One argument is that we need guns for protection from the future, the other argument is we need protection from the past. Over and over children find legal guns, kill themselves or others, and hardly ever does the U.S. get invaded. Just because you store YOUR gun safely doesn't mean we can rely on others to do the same. You can't argue that safes are built for a reason as a defense for a right that assists with countless deaths every day. What about intended self harm? Those with access to guns kill themselves far more often than those without. Yeah, some people have been saved a few times by a civilian with a gun, but far more have been killed by those with one. Last argument being making them illegal won't change the death rates, well, places like Canada and Australia can prove otherwise. So suck it up, and understand that it's for the greater good, not some fuck tards agenda. Backing up my bullshit: "The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (1997: 103) examined the causes of death in 26 developed countries among children up to 14 years of age, using national health statistics provided by the countries. The research showed that the death rate for children who were victims of unintentional firearm injuries was nine times higher in the United States–0.36 compared to 0.04–than in all of the other countries combined." http://www.justice.gc.ca/eng/rp-pr/c...dt98_4/p6.html |
