Okay, it looked to me like the officer did believe he was grabbing for something. That does look legit, as in the officer should stop the suspect and neutralize the situation for safety of his life.

What bothers me is, the 11/13 shots, is completely unacceptable, what a shame...

Sadly the officer won't get charged, but he should be ashamed of himself for doing this, completely despicable. I don't care if the academy trains you to empty your clip on them, that would only be the case if this guy came out with an ak 47 or something. A couple shots will stop most suspects and a higher chance to live. But hey, this cop has to deal with this killing an un armed man for the rest of his life, sucker.
Not tuaght to 'shoot to wound". Why not just give him a warning shot,call the negotiation team and Talk him out of the truck?

Its justified I say. Cops tell you not to move, you freeze on the spot. Read a little of the report and they say he lunged at the cop. That's bullshit but hey. shouldn't of moved

That is a load of crap, but he DID move quickly for something

In a profession like that, when dealing with a known criminal, you can't take any chances.

I think he had his keys in his hand when he came out of the truck, in addition to snagging his ankle in the seatbelt on the passenger side. Bad timing for inelegance.
