I honestly have a lot of respect for the guys in blue and know full well, they don't have an easy job. And, while there is without doubt, some bad Cops out there, the vast majority are very dedicated, highly professional and excellent at their jobs. With that said however, I've Seen some "iffy" shootings/take-downs involving LEO's over the years but this is some downright gross and disgusting actions of this officer.

IHMO, the real kicker is he, realizing full well there is camera rolling and quickly finding out he just murdered an unarmed, innocent civilian, he certainly failed his high school drama/acting class as he proceeds to put on his BS dramatic, role playing acting. By first, pretending to remotely give a shit by trying to "control" the bleeding, but then, his 'highly compassionate" attempts to "keep him alert", etc while the victim (yep, victim) had already completely bleed out and dead well before his heroic acting started.

On the other hand, it was also very likely a blind hope and praying on his part when telling the victim to "stay with me" knowing at that point, he just fucked up really, really bad and if he could just talk the victim out of dying, he might only be charged with attempted murder.

as soon as video starts you can see three guys look at the cop car as it drives up. one turns and decides to leave. he saw the police car before he walked away.

My question is, why was the cop heading towards them in the first place? He wasn't in a hurry. The guys he was approaching didn't seem to be in a hurry, like they'd done something wrong and it seems that the guy that walked away did so because he had no idea the cop was going for them? . Earphones in the victims ears sort of say he probably couldn't hear and by the time he realised the cop meant business it was too late.

Earbuds or not, his eyes work (..or worked). He turns around and sees cops with guns pointed at him and still keeps his hands hidden and bounces backwards in a somewhat defiant manner. Really? thats how you would act if you innocently turned around to see cops pointing guns at you? Maybe he thought "white privilege" would protect him.... Bottom line, it was a tragedy, but his actions did not help.
