The Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol charged a 22-year-old resident of Yevpatoria with the murder of a random passer-by (Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
It was established that on Frunze Street, a 33-year-old resident of Dzhankoy, who had come to Yevpatoria for vacation, made a remark to a drunk young man about his appearance. To which the young man reacted aggressively and stabbed the stranger once in the heart with a knife he had with him.
The perpetrator was detained by eyewitnesses at the scene of the tragedy and handed over to law enforcement officers. The victim died a few hours later in the city hospital.
