Gospel Singer Was Caught With Severed Head of Girlfriend
In a community near the border of Nasarawa state and the Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria, a gospel singer, Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, was arrested after he was caught dumping a black nylon bag in a river, which contained the severed head of his girlfriend. Two members of a nearby church congregation had caught Ajayi dumping the bag in the river. He attempted to flee, but was apprehended after a struggle at a nearby farm. According to Ajayi, he had been dating the victim, Eleojo S.A., for a year, but they got into an argument when Ajayi caught Eleojo chatting to another man. During the altercation, Eleojo cut Ajayi's hand with a knife, and Ajayi responded by grabbing the knife and fatally stabbing her in the neck. Afterwards, he beheaded and dismembered Eleojo's body. According to Ajayi, he received instructions from an anonymous woman to bring Eleojo's head to her. I'm not sure why, despite this, he therefore dumped the head in a river, but it isn't the weakest excuse for a murder in Nigeria I've heard. |
