They also use the bodies as waypoints for the assent up and down the mountain. They have the ability to remove the bodies,
but the cost along with respect for the dead climbers comes into play. My Dad has been up Everest 5 times. And I’ve assisted with support in all of the base camps. It’s a sad reality of this mountain. These people get too arrogant. Real climbers go without oxygen. But the ones that use oxygen for the assent and descent do stupid things and many end up injured or dead.

If anyone is curious about the other costs. Other than obviously equipment and travel, the Sherpas (Local Guides) these people hire are not cheap.
