There is a video that I've seen on another website that purports to say that the explosion was as a result of a missile strike. The video has been slightly altered and slowed right down but you can cleared see the impact and resulting explosion. The video is on BG. Probably fake but I'll let you decide.

Shredded uniforms of some of the Beirut firefighters trying to extinguish the fire before the explosion last week. Out of a 10-person rapid response team, they found the body of one. The rest are still missing.
