So he is going "oh shit, Jesus!" when the fire is burning, then "mutherfucking bootleg fireworks Jesus, get the water ******!" after the big explosion? Just an idea, your gas is better than mine... |

The Allah Akbars that we probably both hate are different though. You don't shout the same phrase when you're cutting someones throat, or after you've convinced a child to detonate themselves in a crowded market, that you do when you are afraid for your kid and your family. It's a totally upside down joke. The god that all those fatbeard Jihadis are shouting about is the god of "All Nude, All The Time" male on male bondage--that's the god that tells them to make women wear sheets, to not let them drive, and that they should pelt them with stones if they even try to, or wear lipstick while overcooking chick peas. Mind you, it's also the same god that kills first born children with various coloured steams unless you kill you pets and mark up your home with their blood. Sometimes to conserve energy, that god just tells dudes to burn their children on altars, just to see if they will. It's the same god that lets people know when they can stop chopping the heads off of slaves by showing them an eclipse. Except if they need a divorce though--in that case, they can just keep cutting their wives' heads off indefinitely. People can get closer to that god by shouting "Allah Akbar", the way they do, or also by cutting off their weeners and poisoning themselves while wearing new Nikes. In tropical places with all their friends and family by the hundreds also works I think. That's why I hate those "Allah Akbars!" anyway, because they all just sound like van loads of weak-ass cult members, all cranky and un-air conditioned, laying on their horns, stuck in traffic. They're thirsty, and thinking that they aren't the only ones fooled by their nonsense. |

Actually it’s been calculated to have been approximately 1.3 Kt - roughly a tenth the power of Little Boy.

Wow, I guessed 1 Kt in my earlier post when I first saw the blast, shock wave and damage yesterday. I have no experience with explosives other than Black Cats, Thunderbombs, Afro-Chasers, Dixie Boys and bottle rockets (perfect for short range work), all of my vast knowledge comes from observing similar explosions on Documenting Reality. I was considering downgrading my estimate today, after I saw about 30% of the grain tower was still standing, the Pepcon explosion was 1 Kt and pretty much vaporized a small outbuilding next to that blast. Maybe grain towers are steel reinforced concrete and built really strong. Believe it or don't, grain dust in air is explosive and grain elevators explode all on their own once in a while. I wonder if there was any secondary blast from all that grain blown into the air, but I didn't see any.  · |
