Can't trust those dogs. He really had no choice that dog would have got him to the ground & it would have mauled him and put the vice grip around his neck. He had every right to shoot that dog I would have done the same thing. they are a nuisance animal and the best thing to do is put them down. I would never turn my back on one of those animals!

I don't think the video could prove they intentionally let the dog loose but any right-minded judge would most certainly ask, why couldn't you restrain the dog with its collar. Yes, the fucking dog had a collar. You could have easily wrapped your hand around the collar and restrained the dog. Stupid bitches, care more about the dog than a human being mauled by a vicious animal. If that was a pit bull, I couldn't tell, then the bite of that dog is much more harmful than most other dog breeds and their jaws lock once they get a hold of you. I don't have all the facts and I won't speculate, but pit bulls are illegal in some places. The dog should have been restrained, kept in a bedroom, or held by its collar to avoid this shit. Flip side is this, the people that deliver my mail don't carry a gun and they deal with vicious dogs on a daily basis. What do they use to defend themselves against vicious dog attacks? Mace and pepper spray! What was the cop doing there in the first place? Wasn't delivering the fucking mail, that's for sure. If he was executing a warrant then they don't bother with mace or pepper spray. Maybe they should start carrying or consider another option like a stun gun. It was a small dog and not a 200lb Rottweiler. At the very least, it deserves further discussion, for the sake of my 15lb chihuahua. Hindsight is 20/20 but if that would have been me and all I had was my pistol, I would have dropped his ass like a sack of potatoes too.  bitches!

feel bad for the dog.... but also its the stupid bitches fault their dog got killed. no audio. but i'd say the cop knew there was a dog and they knew he was a cop. he may have said restrain your dog or i will shoot it. i have heard cops say that. but still they had to know their meat-hammer was going to lunge. i've been chewed to the bone by breaking up pitbull fights.... like hydraulic tin snips. and that was when they weren't going for me.... just each other. if one was going at me..... dog heaven. bang bang. just a really sad thing for the dog.
