Straight out of the dark ages, or the mid-evil times....It amazes how shit like this can still happen in this day and age. Utter and sheer ignorance. But yes even though burning to death would be an awful way to go, the human body does go into shock, and shuts itself down....A burning victim only feels pain for a little while, and then the switch goes off.
