The bodies in the rubbish pile on the Gedangan River, - Residents of Keboan Sikep village were shocked by the discovery of a corpse in the middle of a pile of rubbish in front of the Gedangan District office, Sidoarjo, on Thursday (4/4/2019).

When found, the condition of the corpse had swelled and released a foul odor. Rico, the Satpol PP officer in Gedangan Subdistrict said from witness testimony, around 8:30 a.m. An elementary school child was walking past.

Then he felt suspicious of seeing a human hand in the middle of a pile of rubbish. The student then reports the findings to one of the officers at the Satpol PP Office in Gedangan District.

"The boy said earlier, sir, there are hands, there are human hands at the next time, he said," Rico said. The officer who at that time got the report came to the location to confirm the news.

It is known that the corpse was wearing a black shirt and cream shorts. "We, officers from the Satpol PP reported that the police happened to be in the sub-district office at the time.

Shortly thereafter, officers from the Gedangan and Sidoarjo police officers came to the location of the body," he said.

The head of the Gedangan Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Ipda Supratman, said he saw the condition of the body that had swollen, allegedly the body had died two or three days prior.

The body itself was taken to the East Java Regional Police Bhayangkara Hospital for a medical examination. "Related to the cause of death of the victim, we are still investigating and waiting for the post mortem results," he concluded.

i'm surprised they were shocked as i thought it's very common to see dead bodies flow by in streams/rivers over there.

Thank you, Kelly. My thoughts exactly. The last thing those folks were is shocked. What would have been shocking is if they’d found a bar of soap or something worth living for.
