Re: First Person View Of A Motorcyclists Death
When 38-year-old David Holmes last year drove to his death on his motorcycle, he had a camera fixed to the helmet. It filmed the Englishman's last seconds before the accident, and his parents have now granted permission for the clip to be published. They have because it is being used in a campaign for road safety in the UK. - If we can prevent one incident; one only mediator family that has to go through the same as us, then David would not have died in vain. I know he ran fast on that day. He loved speed, but he also loved life, says his mother, Brenda Holmes, the Mirror. David Holmes drove 156 km/h (96 mph) on his Yamaha FJR1300, when things went wrong on a road in Norfolk pm. 19:30 June 8 last year. The speed limit was around 100 km/h (62 mph), but the not worried bachelor who zig-zaggede between cars to overtake. But he had not taken account of the reckless road users who suddenly turned in front of him, and sent him to his death. The driver of the car has been sentenced to 12 months community service and lost license for eighteen months. He also paid 2500 Danish crowns in community service and performed 130 hours of unpaid work. This is translated from Danish to English so typos are in the text, I have fixed some though. But this really pisses me off, reckless driver my ass, he was going very fast and on a small motorcycle. Couldn't not find a way to download the video. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/video/new...ght-video.html |

He should'nt have been going so fast approaching a junction, anything can happen as he found out, Yes the driver pulled across him, but that dont matter now does it, he's toast.

Re: First Person View Of A Motorcyclists Death
Had he been sticking to the speed limit he might of had a chance..ban the bikes or restrict them to 70mph as there is too many dicks with an adrenalin deficiency ride them

Re: First Person View Of A Motorcyclists Death
I'm sorry but one, the rider was going close to 100mph down a 60mph road, that's his fault I don't think anyone will deny that. But I know for a fact, that when you indicate to change roads, you must constantly look into the road you are turning into and the road with oncoming traffic to ensure you have enough time to safely turn, if the driver was constantly looking to the view in front of him and to the right where he was turning, (changing his view every two / three seconds) he may well have been able to see the bike and this accident would never have occurred. |
