The driver didn't stop, he didn't even notice what happened, but he was later arrested in Azov. The police are not going to assume it was just an accident, but the truck driver's criminal negligence since obviously the cargo was not correctly fastened. The 29 YO victim suffered a severe open head injury (right temple) and died two hours later. In the back seat there was another couple with a child, it could have ended even worse. This is why there are rules and regulations on covers for un-secured loads like debris in dump trucks. EVerytime you see a truck like the one carrying that brick it should have a cover on it no matter what. A bump in the road or suddent stop at speed can haul a tiny amount out but even small debris turn into missiles that can kill. |
