He deserved those bullets. She came out there to help defuse the situation and that’s how he acts. And I may be hearing things, but it sounds like he says, “Give me that gun, b*#$&” before he tries to rob her. Even after she shot him, he was *still* trying to wrestle the gun away from her.

On another note though, this can be seen to show how dangerous it is to allow universal carrying of firearms. A likely simple assault/battery turns into manslaughter because of the potential for the criminal perpetrator to get your firearm and use it against you. You feel you MUST kill them.

Regardless a gangster, killer, demonstrator, soldier or a police man (etc), when their "opponent" turn from aggression to a defenseless "chicken", their mind tell them that they are now in the wining position and out of control they become the aggressive one. Their mind now is over the normal thinking line and will do the "unthinkable" or "uncontrollable" things to finish their "opponent".

I couldn't understand her ebonics accent, but after the final gunshot, I think the cop said, "Let it go right now." That indicates the man was continuing to grab her even after the final shot. 100% self-defense. Good for her for diffusing the original conflict, and warding off the attack.

Her language afterward sounded like typical inner city scolding of dumbass behavior. I picked up a motherly tone to it - teaching a child a lesson, etc.

Way to go, Officer! Critics of her words afterwards, she was just a life and death struggle, one-on-one, no one to help. That’d be a bit anxiety-provoking - look at her fast-pacing and, yeah, she was probably pissed, too. Lots of people get pissed when they’ve had the crap scared out of ‘em.
