I think that's the first time I have ever seen a SHARP knife, well, a machete, used. It did not seem to make a difference as far as pain. Obviously there was still agony, and the poor guy still didn't die until his spinal cord was cut. Surprisingly it still took a while, I'm guessing because she did not have the upper body strength for the job. If I ever lived in a place like this I would carry a cyanide capsule with me.

I don't think that's been officially verified yet. If so, she really went downhill since the known photos of her were taken. The woman who was executed didn't look very "guera" at all.
