I have lived in parts of Southeast Asia for quite some time. This is very common. They never learn their lesson either. It has gotten to a point that I pass by a bus or truck or one passes me, and I think, "Gee, I wonder how many bodies this truck has?" Complete idiots. I mean, I would think after so many fucking deaths this way they would be extra careful around busses and trucks.
I get frustrated too. Looks like she was traveling right next to the bus on a tiny sliver of lane. Sad, but also makes me mad. Is this just fatalism? Or do they really not think they will die? I guess I can say the same about young men in the West who speed on motorcycles-- in the second case, I don't think they know they can die.
