Father Shot Dead in Front of His Two Minor Children
Tensions remained high in southeast Delhi after a man was shot dead in front of his two minor children allegedly by drug dealers on Sunday. The deceased, 34-year-old R. K. B. was standing outside his residence when 2 men brandishing pistols ran toward him and one of them pumped a bullet in his chest before casually waltzing away. Residents told that the men who shot K. were drug dealers disgruntled by his anti-drug stance. Following the attack on K., locals pelted stones at police personnel who were deployed to defuse the tension. An officer with the Delhi police said that the situation is now under control but one policeman had to be taken to the hospital after he incurred injuries during the stone pelting. K's 12-year-old daughter told that she was playing with her 14-year-old brother when the incident took place. She also said that her father stepped out of the house as her mother was cooking when two men ran toward him hurling abusive words. Father asked them to not abuse and they shot him, said the child. |
