A Maplewood man has died a day after engaging in a shootout with St. Paul police early December.

St. Paul police Officer M. T. went to the intersection of Marshall and Cretin Avenues around 2 p.m. Thursday after a woman reported that her former romantic partner was ramming her vehicle, had broken one of its windows, and was armed with a handgun.

Neither the woman nor the man riding in her vehicle was injured.

In a protection order filed Oct. 25, the 38-year-old mother of K’ 5-year-old son told a judge that K. had recently stalked and threatened her.

US police really need shotguns and/or M16's / subguns when they exit their vehicles on a call like this. Police will be running into many more swarthies like this but the swarthy will be armed with fully auto Glock 18s, auto shotguns and assault rifles / subguns. Unrelated, I bought a police surplus Glock 22 in .40 S&W that has "St. Paul Police" and their logo engraved on the slide. It was about 300 USD 10 years ago, and I have to admit it is the easiest, most comfortable shooting handgun I own.

First off, the backplate autoseers are among the best things that God has graced the police with, since it keeps people from actually being able to effectively fire with any real accuracy at police. Also, that doesn't make it a g18, amigo.

Second, most cars are equipped with ar15s with either 16inch or 13.5 inch barrel, often suppressed. We have suppressed 13.5s in st cloud.

Third, 40 is excessively overrated. Get a g20 in 10mm and shoot 40 out of it if you feel like wasting your time and money. Otherwise, get some full power rated ammo for it, or switch to a g17. There is no reason to use the 'spicy 9mm' unless you just prefer less capacity and slightly more recoil with zero added ballistic effect (shown through testing).

Fourth, instead of pouring your heart and soul into militarized police, maybe focus on getting regular citizens to back actually punishing these fucking idiots before they get no-cashed back onto the streets to start lead-banging more innocent people.
