Fatal Shooting of Armed Man by Cincinnati Police
COVINGTON, Ky. - On Thursday, Cincinnati police provided an update on a shooting that happened April 11 in which Cincinnati officers shot and killed a man in Covington and showed body camera footage from both officers involved. Police shot and killed A.C, 20, after going to a house with the Covington Police Department on Monday seeking information about warrants out for C’s arrest in connection with the murder of Christian Jones, 28, who was found shot to death in a crashed car on Bassett Road in East Price Hill last week. Cincinnati Interim Police Chief Teresa Theetge held an initial press conference Tuesday morning. During that conference, Theetge said officer Charles Knapp and police specialist Mark Longworth are the two officers who fired their guns, shooting and killing 20-year-old A.C. The body camera footage released Thursday is from Longworth and Knapp. At the beginning of the video, Knapp is walking between two houses and enters the back yard of a home where A.C can be seen running through the backyard. C hops a fence and Knapp turns around, running back toward the street. He sprints down the sidewalk to a home a few doors down and A.C can be seen running toward the street from between two houses. In one hand, C appears to hold a gun, but he is not pointing it at officers. After ordering him to drop the gun, Knapp quickly fires multiple shots at C, who drops to the ground. Other officers render emergency aid while Longworth and Knapp retreat — per CPD protocol, Theetge said — but A.C appears to be unresponsive. Numerous officers treated A.C after he was shot by giving him oxygen and performing chest compressions in attempts to save his life. |

But he was a good boy and would never kill TWO people! One, sure, but give him a second chance he’s just a good boy!

We’ll done. Watching him try to get through that fence was hysterical. The only beast mode that officer has is when plowing through a dozen donuts.

Re: Fatal Shooting of Armed Man by Cincinnati Police
I'm confused as to why the deceased ultimately decided to run in the direction he did; looks like squirrel reflex unless there were more cops over there; for a minute it looked like he gave them the slip, but then he apparently about-faced and ended up in the worst possible position. His eyes look jaundiced in the photo.
