Farc Member on Motorcycle Activated Explosive Device, Blowing Himself Up
An explosive device on Saturday killed one person and injured 14 others in Colombia. The incident occurred yesterday morning when a person on a motorcycle passed through a checkpoint and, after the security forces ordered him to stop, "he got scared" and activated the device he was carrying. The explosion killed the motorcycle rider, who authorities believe belonged to a FARC dissident guerrilla group and left 7 civilians and 7 police officers slightly injured. The 7 civilians are out of danger, while one of the injured officers is still in the hospital with a reserved prognosis. |
