Thank goodness the cop/traffic monitor had the decency to pick the baby up and try to soothe the tyke. As mentioned before, he or she will (thankfully) have no memory of this accident, but so sad to see that the child no longer has parents.

There was nothing random about that. The truck driver was careless, and the scooter driver didn't react the way he should have when he should have despite having more than enough time to do so. It was the entirely avoidable result of human stupidity and the shit decisions produced thereby.
