Why is he hitting him lengthways down his back and not sideways along his neck!!? Looks like they wanted him to suffer. That is pretty bad beheading, more like be-slashing.

There was more to that. I think that guy was actually CIA, I can't remember. But the GIF only shows 2 or 3 attempts; his head does actually come off. So this is almost a false thread.
