Well, what many people don't know, is that things like sugar/flour/chocolate powder/ etc are actually highly explosive....so, you aren't that far off.

This was probably just a gas explosion, but, these things can blow up big time if sugar/other powders they work with aren't contained well.
Google, "cremora bomb"...

I was the one recording this video literally I was half a block away when it happened and immediately ran there.

Here’s my nest camera of the sound of explosion and me evacuating my house
