I'm no expert but I'd say digging an explosive out with your hands like a dog digging up a bone isn't standard procedure. I thought they went in all suited up with robots etc?

It was a unexploded 155mm round fired by american forces. Local friendly militia were attempting to dig it up. Should have called EOD.
