I may be reading into her reaction way too much but it seems like she quickly realized she couldn't run and resigned to the fact she might die here and there's nothing she can do to stop it. She looks at the guy when he pulls the shotgun out of the pack and slowly looks away like, "if I'm gonna get shot, I dont need to see it coming" she freezes after that, even when the shooter walks away.

I like that theory better than my 1st one, which was she called the hit lol.

come on, she couldve gotten up and walked away. did you see that assassin's marksmanship? if she gonna stay cool anyway, she couldve easily stood up and left. i think that might be less risky than taking her chances point blank with deadeye there shooting.

I won't dispute you since we could never know how the gunman would react. However, imho, it's better to remain motionless and just be part of the background than moving which would gain notice and possible reaction.

The gunman is probably nervous/jacked-up already from adrenaline, he notices movement and there's no telling how he would react. He might even think you're trying to pull a weapon in defense.

It's all situational of course and pure speculation, but I would have just stayed put in that case.

I like to think he did it out of the goodness of his heart. He hears about all of the toddlers being paralyzed in Chicago from indiscriminate drive-by shootings, so he took it upon himself to make sure only the target gets a bullet...or a few.
