Re: Ethiopian maid falls after Letting Go of Window Ledge
Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, these Gulf countries are filled with rich, and apparently conscience-free, soulless citizens who mistreat the help. In some cases, the arrangements amount to indentured servitude for the Somalians, Malaysians, Filipinos, who go to these countries to find work with rich families. Gulf people are people without a land. Their ancestors were mounted on horses, they rode around, exclusively, they didn't settle somewhere and form cities like we did. They had no homes, they would gallop around the desert until they wouldn't, pitch their tent in the middle of nowhere and set up camp. Sometimes they would loot villages and take over. The beduin mentality remains, the feeling of superiority, the arrogance, the shaky moral compass. |

Re: Ethiopian maid falls after Letting Go of Window Ledge
Turns out you were right. The video of her walking to the ladder with rescuers is haunting after seeing that fall. The crushed roof must have cushioned the fall.
