All of these happened on the 9th.

1. A 24-year-old man was shot dead on Thursday afternoon (09/02), in Morro Santana, in the eastern area of Porto Alegre. According to the Military Police, the victim had a criminal record for vehicle theft, illegal possession of a weapon, receiving stolen goods and homicide. The man had just got out of a car when he was surprised by shots fired by two thugs in a black car.

2. A corpse was found in the rural area of Coroatá, Maranhão. The victim, 32, had his eyes gouged out, possibly by vultures because of the time he had been exposed, and had two gunshot wounds to the head. The victim had an open warrant against him due to theft.

3. Two men, aged 18 and 19, were executed in Feira da Santana. There was no information on motive.

4. In the north of Recife, a man was shot dead at a swap market.

5. A man was shot dead on a staircase in the Tancredo Neves neighborhood in Salvador, Bahia.

With all these murders in Brazil that occur on a daily basis, it is surprising that there is anyone left alive in that country.

Brazil can't possibly hand out the true murder statistics. Because this site alone has nonstop murder coming out of Brazil and its not listed as high as you would think when you look at the murder rate vs the world.

Unless the government is held responsible by the people they will always lie to other nations to make themselves look better. Like the murder rate in places like China, India, Brazil are not accurate at all. As much as we complain, we can hold our government responsible.
