Indeed. Not only that, but I don't even think he was checking out his bike. I think he was about to start nervously pacing back and forth with his hands on his hips in shock.

your probably both right, I hit a deer on my bike about two years ago at night doing about 55mph, I didnt know what I had hit untill after my adrenaline induced nervous pacing subsided and I saw the deer laying in the road. I had a fleeting feeling of horror cause I thought it was a person. One of the worst nights of my life, totaled bike, broke arm, collar bone, and three ribs, not to mention road rash from hell.

Yeah I'd have to agree. If a guy on a motorcycle collides while going 137 km/h he would have slid further than 30 feet down the road, that is unless his own body absorbed much of the impact when he hit the other guy which slowed him down, but if that was the case, he would not have walked away, he'd be dead. Looked more like 60 km/hr.
