Re: England 1985 - Stadium on Fire - 56 Dead
i was there that day none of us knew that anyone was gona get hurt thats why the fans were singin at the begining as soon as every one new people were in danger thats when everyone helped and risked there own lives to save others ill never forget watching a man in a wheelchair sat helpless in the middle of the stand suddenly burst into flames and nobody could do anything about it .so many bad dreams about that day ill never forget yet seeing the people of bradford and the police try so hard to rescue others makes me proud to be a part of it.

Re: England 1985 - Stadium on Fire - 56 Dead
The police saved lives there. The heat was obviously intense, one of the coppers had flaming hair when he finally stopped saving people and ran for the field. I read people who died got caught in exits in back of the stands, the people who ran for the field all made it, except perhaps the flaming guy at the end. Hindsight is 20/20, I don't know which way I would run in that situation.
