But then again, there ARE people doing it just for attention. Just because their friends are.

I used to peirce my ears up high with a push pen. It would hurt for days. I would remove them so they would heal and I could do them again. It's difficult to explain WHY but it's a feeling of being in control of SOMETHING when everything else in your life seems out of control. It's just my way of dealing with it and no one can tell, no scars. Most I've had was 12 in each ear.

Started back recently and am up to 7 in each ear. That's just how it is....

I agree with TheUrinator and hbk710. While self-mutilation is a serious subject, the fact that they did take pics of it kinda seems to make them automatic sellouts that want attention. Kinda 50/50 on this.

True cutters hide their cuts because they feel guilt and shame. It's not a badge of honor. It's not so they get pity. Long sleeves and jeans in the summer suck, but it's better than the questions. These people are attention whores; it's obvious by the pictures they took. I never once took a picture of the pain I inflicted. I would be too embarrassed and shamed.
