I think she was just wondering without a purpose. It is really easy to do that in China if you don't have guidance. I knew kids who lived alone from the age of seven until we met in college. Sounds unreal, but it is common enough in China that they have a specific name for these types of children and situations.

Surprised that this was a recent video, because the finnish song she listens is from late 90's. Didn't know kids these days still listen to the band, it was all the rage of emo girls during early 2000's.

A cry for attention I think wouldn't actually off themselves. They would just "overdose" on acetaminophen or something. You don't get much attention knowingly as a pancake.
