Re: Elderly Man Commits Suicide by Cop
Piece of shit cop. Is called for a suicide, ends up killing the guy. If he had turned around and left - like he TOLD the man he would after answering his question...that man may still be alive right now. I don't understand why deadly force is used against people threatening suicide. If you don't care if they live or die, then don't go out to their house....serving and protecting...bullshit. "I'm here to help"...but in a few seconds I'm going to shoot you, it will help, don't worry. Cop didn't actually give a fuck about him, you can tell from the beginning when he gets all "don't point at me" like, it's not about you buddy...maybe be nice to the guy instead of demanding? I realize he's police, but he's supposed to be there to help, he claimed to be there to help, people called him so he would HELP. And he ends up killing the guy...quite quickly, without trying any other means of disarming. This was a shitty cop doing a shitty job and I don't give a fuck if anyone thinks otherwise.

Re: Elderly Man Commits Suicide by Cop
Other people are saying we don't know what it's like to be a cop, so we can't judge, and that they have to react quickly in certain situations, so if they are afraid, it's just cause to kill someone. It may be THEIR job to be called out and "defend" themselves, but it's OUR job as people and a society to judge those decisions they make, and determine if it was correct, or if the officer acted like a scared bitch and pulled a gun before doing anything else he may have been trained to do. Don't say we aren't in any position to judge, we SHOULD judge, we SHOULD ask questions and investigate, so bullshit like this doesn't keep happening. Too many pussies masquerading themselves as police officers, ready to fire at the slightest hint of trouble...maybe, if you're easily scared, don't become a cop? I understand the guy had a gun. But it's obvious it wasn't aimed at the officer, or likely intended for him...regardless...just because someone is holding a gun, it doesn't mean they should be shot. He wasn't being aggressive or threatening to the officer. We can't let police get away with shooting non violent people they were called out to help, because they were scared. He had the opportunity to disarm, the gun wasn't pointed at him yet and he was only holding it by the barrel. Plenty of time to use another method of neutralizing. Your balls should be measured for size before they accept you as a new recruit. Either way, killing someone you were called out to stop from killing themselves, doesn't seem effective. But, I'm not a police officer, so it doesn't matter what I think...only those employed by the government are allowed to critique those employed by the government...isnt that right, my fellow retards? |

Yeah, because there is absolutely no chance that someone could return fire with a bullet in the leg. Seriously, stfu. Let me aim a shotgun at you and see what you decide to do. Piss your pants, that's what you'd do. |

Re: Elderly Man Commits Suicide by Cop
In my former job, I worked in police dispatch. The majority of the officers on the force were CIT (Crisis Intervention Technique) trained. They were specifically trained for situations like this. Where I see a failure here is dispatch only sending one car. For something like this, you always send two cars for officer safety. |
