Re: Elderly Man Commits Suicide by Cop
Whats sad is people like you wanting cops to die because they didnt aim for the center of mass and missed shooting them in the foot or hand like you crybabies want them to If the guy was suicidal he was likely to shoot the cop, he doesnt give a fuck about being alive anymore so why would he care about killing a cop before the next one kills him Wanna see what happens when the cop hesitates on shooting an old guy with a gun? take a look at this |

Re: Elderly Man Commits Suicide by Cop
Absofuckinglutely Dead On! There’s A Case Going Before The US-Supreme Court Next Year, Over This Very Matter! When Is It A Justified Shooting! And or Murder On the Action of The Police Officer or Officers Action In the Use of Deadly Force Committed By Forceful Action On the Police Officers Part! Example; The Tulsa, OK Shooting! She’s Facing State! And Federal! Federal Conviction Just Might Put Her On Death Row! Why Didn’t He Walk Away And Call For Assistance? SWAT! And or A Crisis Intervention Team! The Man Wasn’t The THREAT! The Officer Was By Continuing To Escalate the Situation by His Actions He Alone Created!!! Don't They Tell Us-(Those of Us With GUNS) To Walk Away?!!! In 2010, A National Symposium On Mental Illness And Suicidal Behavior Was Mandatory For ALL Law Enforcement Agencies Including Federal To Attend In Washington DC! Failure To Attend Would Lead To Federal Funding Being Withdrawn And or Cancelling Police Funding To That Agency! Furthermore! ALL Supervisory Positions! Mandated This Training! That’s Why In the Tulsa OK Shooting, the 1st Thing The News Said Was, "Did This Agency-(Tulsa Police Department) Fulfill That Mandate! *************They Didn’t************* She And Her Husband Both Failed the Test! And Should’ve Never Been Promoted!!! Under New Federal Guidelines: That Stipulate, Mandated-Protocols And Guidelines In Interactions With the Mentally Ill! And Suicidal Behavior by Person or Persons In the Use of Deadly Force!!! PS: By Federal Law! ALL Counties In In Absence of A City And or Municipality Must Provide Assistance & Enforcement of Services For the Use In A Mentally Ill And Suicidal Situations! |

Re: Elderly Man Commits Suicide by Cop
You might want to read what I wrote, I never said I wanted the cop to die! It has been MY experience on scene WITH specially trained units. My mistake was thinking EVERYONE has such a thing. That's it.

Re: Elderly Man Commits Suicide by Cop
I love how there are so many quick to judge how the officer should have handled the situation. I have never had a gun pointed at me in anger and I hope I never do. I would also expect the vast majority of people commenting on these videos have never had a gun pointed at them in anger either. Even with this, there are a LOT of people criticizing the reaction and handling of the situation by someone who, rightly so, was afraid he might die had he not reacted the way he did. This also goes for every video of a cop clearly defending himself from another armed OR UNARMED person who wants to do harm to the officer. Put yourself in that same situation and give yourself the same amount of time to prepare as the officers have, while also paying attention to; your surroundings, the words from the suspect, the actions of the suspect, your fellow officers positions and state of mind and so on. Regardless of what you think of police in general, you cannot be critical of the fact that this and many other police are reacting IN THE MOMENT, to protect themselves and others from a person who is not thinking clearly and may or may not be armed to kill. Being unarmed does not necessarily preclude the suspect from being able to do serious bodily harm to an officer. We have all seen videos of people being seriously injured or even killed by a single punch on this site. Just try to give the person trying to keep himself and others alive the benefit-of-the-doubt until you've been in the same situation and done something the rest of us cannot be critical of in hind-site. And yes, of course, there are times when the officer has over-reacted and done something inappropriate, but from what I've seen, that is the anomaly, not the rule. |
