The more I watch this accident, the more fucked up it appears. The steering wheel airbag doesn't appear to deploy until the second collision, maybe because it was head on. It looks like the airbag explosion drives the steering wheel into the guys head instead of protecting him. The steering wheel is broken at an angle. Either the steering wheel is Chinese made styrofoam or that guy is probably toast.

That seat belt was super glued to the seat rather than the vehicles frame. His whole body made it over to her side, before landing back in his spot.

~ They got struck from her side, & she saw it coming. ~ She didn't have her seatbelt on, & he did, but he didn't make sure it was on securely. Probably on purpose since many people don't like the seatbelt to cut thru their neck & shoulder, but will wear it loosely, because they could get a ticket. But it's his body as a shield that saved her from diving thru the front of the car & thru the window. ~ The so called air bag was just a prop, to make more money on the vehicle sale. And it didn't deploy until his body hit forward on the steering wheel. |

Yeah, even though it happens less often, it has the better prognosis by far when compared to decerebrate posturing which has a 10% survival rate. The header he took would've caused cerebral edema (brain swelling) which can be fatal if not addressed fast enough.  I went to a vocational med school for my level 2 EMT certification, which basically puts me just under the paramedic level. So I'm not a doctor yet, but I'm working on it! |

If you look closely, the driver's seat belt was not clipped in, it was tuck under the seat or something. This dumb ass deserved it.

the black car had a speed of 120 km/h, at least, considering a 90° impact angle and the taxi moving a speed of 41 km h the drivers air bag deployment when hit from the other side, has been found to be safe and unsafe, It can be considered unnecessary, even a safety hazard, in normal low-average speed accidents. the drivers air bag was very small imo. |
